(Springfield, Missouri, November 6, 2020) – OATS Transit, a Missouri based not-for-profit transportation provider, announce that they have received a grant from Ash Grove Community Foundation totaling $2,000. A check was presented to OATS Transit Operations Manager Eddie Delp and Driver Randy Fowble, by Foundation President Tyler Gunlock this week.
These grant funds will be used toward the purchase of a new bus for Ash Grove and surrounding Greene County Missouri to provide rides to those in need. OATS Transit provides transportation for work, medical appointments, essential shopping, nutrition and other needs to individuals with disabilities, seniors, and rural residents of any age. Our transportation programs are vital to the Missouri economy, and help local residents live independently in their own communities.
“Thanks to the Ash Grove Community Foundation this grant allows us to match our federal grant with local match dollars,” said Dorothy Yeager, Executive Director of OATS Transit. “These funds will stay directly in the Ash Grove community to help us buy a new bus for their citizens,” added Yeager.
